Firmware Update for FREETALK Everyman Webcam

In order to continue enjoying your Skype video calling, you should update the firmware on your camera if you are using your Everyman Webcam with Windows. Remember that your Everyman webcam needs to be plugged into a USB port in order to execute the update.

Instructions:

  1. Download FREETALKEveryman_FirmwareUpdate.exe
  2. Once the download has completed, double click on the file you have downloaded.
  3. Using the Dropdown menu at the top of the Firmware Update window, select the USB device that represents your Everyman Webcam. You should then see a screen that looks similar to this:

  4. Click the big button "Update Firmware" to apply the update.
  5. After applying the update, the green progress bar should be filled in and “Reload Complete” should appear, as shown the screen shot below.

  6. Go to Tools | Options | Video Settings” in Skype for Windows (4.2 or later) and check that your Everyman webcam is working with the new firmware.
